The red tint of the RJ45 plug helps you easily identify this as a cat6a mod plug. The individual wires go all the way through this connector head and allow you to make sure everything is lined up before you crimp down. The unique internal design of the S45-1700P pass-through RJ45 modular plug allows the LAN cable to be inserted further into the RJ45 plug. This reduces the length of untwisted wires improving NEXT performance.

The ProSeries pass through RJ45 features the patented Cap45. The Cap45 is an isolation cap that snaps onto the front of the pass through rj45 after termination, covering the exposed wire ends. Cap45 prevents electrical shorting in the RJ45 socket due to improperly trimmed wires or in device sockets that may not be 100% compliant.
